Who we are
Deadground Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales, company no. 17531451. Registered office: 124-128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX. We are the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: privacy@deadground.co.uk.
What we collect
When you email us or use our walkthrough form, we collect your name, email address, the organisation you work for, your job title if you give it, and anything you choose to tell us in your message or on the call. Walkthrough requests come through the form on our website or by email to hello@deadground.co.uk. Requests made through the form are stored by our website host, Vercel, in London.
Website analytics and cookies
We use Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that counts visits to our website without cookies and without tracking individual people. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. If you sign in to our product, we use a strictly necessary session cookie to keep you signed in. It is not used for anything else.
Why we use it
To reply to you, arrange and hold walkthroughs, follow up on work you have asked about, and understand in general terms how our website is used. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (responding to enquiries and running our business) or, where we agree to work together, taking steps to enter into or perform a contract.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We use a small number of service providers who handle data only on our instructions: Google (Google Workspace) for email, and Vercel to host our website and provide our website analytics. Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they use the safeguards UK data protection law requires.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and walkthrough requests: up to 2 years after our last contact, unless we go on to work together. Client records: 6 years after the work ends, for legal and accounting reasons.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or ask for a copy to take elsewhere. Email privacy@deadground.co.uk and we will reply within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first at privacy@deadground.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
